At the core of our philosophy is the belief that each individual is unique, with a distinctive history, set of experiences, and underlying reasons for addiction. We take a person-centered approach, recognizing that successful treatment requires a deep understanding of the individual’s background, triggers, and co-occurring disorders. Through comprehensive assessments, we craft personalized treatment plans aligned with each person’s needs, values, and aspirations.
We integrate traditional evidence-based therapies with holistic practices that nurture the mind, body, and spirit, addressing addiction from every angle for a healing experience that goes beyond symptom management. You deserve the freedom that comes with recovery, and Overcome is here to provide a program tailored for you.
We offer multiple levels of care, assessed for each client during the intake assessment: Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP). PHP typically involves about 6 hours of treatment daily, up to 5 days a week.
We understand that not everyone can take a leave of absence from work for a daily program. Our intensive outpatient program, typically 3 hours a day for 3 days a week, gives you access to the tools and support you need, whether you are dealing with a drug or alcohol addiction or co-occurring disorders. Outpatient care involves 2 or fewer days a week and is a good next step for those who have already completed some treatment.
We offer group and individual counseling and a designated night program for those who cannot attend morning groups due to work or family obligations. We also offer separate family support groups for anyone in the community with a loved one struggling with addiction.
Detox is medically necessary in some cases. We do not operate a stand-alone detox facility, but we work closely with some of the best detox centers in the tri-state area. Once a client is assessed as requiring detox, we help facilitate their admission into a comprehensive detox facility.
Addiction is a chronic illness, so recovery is an ongoing process that does not end with detox. Our outpatient treatment can serve as a step-down from inpatient (residential) rehab, and it is also effective for clients whose addiction does not require a medical detox, including those who have been through recovery before and are worried about, or have experienced, a relapse.
Yes, treatment plans are fully personalized. While many people share similar themes on their journey from addiction to recovery, no two individuals are ever the same. To effectively treat the person in front of us, we have to be specific in identifying what he or she needs in their recovery.
As a holistic treatment center, nutrition is absolutely something we consider. Our goal is not just to help clients get clean but to help their lives improve. We recognize the profound connection between physical health and addiction recovery, so we emphasize proper nutrition, exercise, and regular health assessments to promote overall well-being and provide the energy and clarity needed to engage fully in recovery.
All of our therapists are master’s-level clinicians, trained to address both the symptoms of addiction and underlying co-occurring conditions. Our clinicians are trained in modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) to target symptoms of depression and anxiety. They also have extensive training in trauma-specific modalities like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), as well as attachment-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to address attachment issues and support a family-systems approach to recovery.
This depends on our census, which can fluctuate, but we will never exceed a 10-to-1 client-to-therapist ratio. We believe it is important for our clinicians to have the time and bandwidth to focus their energy on their assigned clients. Our groups tend to be small as well, so we can create a safe, comfortable environment that encourages vulnerability.
We work closely with our clients to ensure they have a suitable aftercare plan to help maintain long-term sobriety. We collaborate with clients and their support teams to help them find positive work environments, suitable living arrangements for those who need them, and ancillary care such as marriage counseling or psychiatric services when appropriate. Because we are an outpatient center, many clients can continue attending individual sessions even after stepping down from higher levels of care.
Building a strong sense of community and belonging is fundamental to overcoming addiction, so we encourage group therapy, peer support, and family involvement to foster a supportive network invested in each other’s recovery.
This is a central tenet of our program. We focus on treating the underlying symptoms and helping clients learn new, more adaptive ways of coping. Our programs let clients return home each day, making it possible to remain integrated in, or reintegrate into, daily life while being supported by qualified, caring professionals.
We offer group and individual counseling, as well as family and couples sessions and family support groups. Mindfulness and meditation practices are foundational to our treatment center, cultivating self-awareness, inner peace, and resilience. By learning to be present in the moment, clients can better cope with stress, cravings, and negative emotions.
Our holistic, comprehensive, co-occurring IOP is rooted in the belief that true healing addresses the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. By integrating evidence-based therapies with holistic modalities and embracing individual uniqueness, we help clients transcend addiction and embark on a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and fulfillment.
This depends on the individual case and the assessment of both the client and their therapists. Our goal is to make family sessions as productive as possible. With the appropriate release signed, we place an emphasis on working within the broader family system to support healing and recovery for the whole family unit.
Yes. We believe in maintaining supportive engagement with our clients, both past and present. In our experience, alumni meetings help show current clients what life can look like after treatment.
We are a culturally competent program designed to meet the needs of the Jewish community. We understand our clients’ backgrounds and their religious, spiritual, societal, and cultural needs, and we do our utmost to incorporate that awareness into the day-to-day treatment of our clients.
